Acrylic, ink and plaster on canvas, 100 x 150 cm
My first series.
I never really knew what these were going to look like when I started. I just put down a mark and reacted to it - added something, covered something else, kept going until it felt right.
A lot of it changed along the way. Parts of it disappeared, other parts stuck around, sometimes without me really deciding it.
That’s what this series is to me. Not something planned, just something I found while making it.
A balance between movement and stillness, chaos and calm.
I called it First Movement because that’s what it felt like - the start of something, before it had fully taken shape.
